Dan Roche is the author of two memoirs and a third book of nonfiction, Eyes by Hand: Prosthetics of Art and Healing (MIT Press, 2025). His essays have appeared in Fourth Genre, River Teeth, The Journal, Chautauqua, and other places, and he has been awarded a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship in nonfiction literature. He directs the creative writing program at Le Moyne College.
