Guttman & Caoile

Born and raised in Montréal, Canada, Naomi Guttman has published three books of poetry, including the novella in verse, The Banquet of Donny & Ari: Scenes From the Opera (Brick Books). Guttman teaches literature and creative writing at Hamilton College. More Than You Can Know is her first film. In it, she interviews her parents about their long marriage and weaves their candid responses with letters, home movies, and photos to produce an intimate glimpse into a complex relationship.

Patrick Joseph Caoile was born in the Philippines and grew up in New Jersey. His work is featured in Solstice Literary Magazine, Chestnut Review, storySouth, and elsewhere. His debut short story collection Tales from Manila Ave. was the winning selection of Sundress Publications’ 2024 Prose Open Reading Period. He has received support from Roots.Wounds.Words and the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. Currently, he is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Literature and Creative Writing at Hamilton College.
